AYSO Scoring Policy

The MAXIMUM margin of victory allowed in an AYSO game in Burlingame Region 63 is 4 goals. If any team exceeds this margin in a regular season game the winning team will be penalized according to the following schedule.

• FIRST OFFENSE results in ONE POINT deducted from the standings
• SECOND OFFENSE results in THREE POINTS deducted from the standings
• THIRD OFFENSE results in SIX POINTS deducted from the standings
• Any subsequent OFFENSE results in SIX POINTS deducted from the standings

In the opening round of the BURLINGAME CUP a team earns SIX POINTS for a victory and ONE BONUS POINT per goal scored up to a maximum of THREE GOALS. If the FOUR GOAL MAXIMUM is exceeded then the winning team will lose points according to the following schedule.

• FIRST OFFENSE results in ONE BONUS POINT deducted for every goal over the FOUR GOAL MAXIMUM.
• SECOND OFFENSE results in all THREE BONUS POINTS deducted
• The victorious team would still receive SIX POINTS for the victory.
