Prepare for a fun and family-oriented soccer experience for our players

Fall 2020 Season

AYSO Families,

Our Board voted this week to proceed with a socially distanced fall soccer program, in line with state and local guidelines. Our program, like these times, will look different from what you have known. There will be no games or scrimmages -- the focus is on player development while remaining physically distant.

Critically, the program will require the uniform and consistent cooperation of all participants -- players, parents, coaches and other volunteers -- to support the opportunity for players to be able to get out on the field with their team.

Here’s what we have to share as of today on program details:

  • Program dates: Sept. 26 to Nov. 21
  • Eligible age groups: Under 10 division and older only (birth years 2002-2012)
  • Sessions per week: Two 60-75 minute sessions - one weekday (time/day based on coach availability), one Saturday
  • Training pod/team size cap:
    • Under 14-19 (2002-2008): 14 players
    • Under 12 (2009-2010): 12 players
    • Under 10 (2011-2012): 9 players
  • Team coaches/Parent volunteers: All teams required to have two coaches with prior AYSO coaching experience, and two parent safety volunteers (1 safety volunteer required per practice session)
  • Registration priority: Children of coaches/volunteers; first come, first serve from waitlist. Note: Participation is contingent on having a sufficient number of coach and safety volunteers.
  • Registration fee: $170 (resident); $255 (non-resident) -- payment to be made after you accept a spot (once pulled off the waitlist)
  • Key safety precautions:
    • Coaches wear masks at all times
    • Players wear masks at all times, except during high-exertion activities
    • Players bring own ball, mask, sanitizer and water; no sharing of any equipment, except passing is permitted (ball provided at first practice)
    • Parents required to complete pre-session safety check of participant
    • Parents must wear mask if leaving car at drop-off/pick-up; parents not to congregate at field.

This program won’t be a fit for everyone -- we understand and look forward to having you back in a future season! Players will need to be able to follow protocols that require socially distancing at all times before, during and after practice sessions at the field.

Our Board continues to work on critical items to execute our program, including finalizing our safety protocols, coaching resources and parent acknowledgments. We’ll make these available as soon as possible.

Please email [email protected] if you have any questions or feedback.

Game Schedule and Standings

Your team's season schedule will be posted on once it has been created.

Due to privacy concerns, we cannot list team assignments on the website, but coaches will be reaching out to you in mid-August. If you haven’t heard from your coach by late August, you can inquire with your division coordinator, which you can find here.

Kid Zone

The national media has focused on the negative, even violent, behavior of players, coaches and parents involved in youth sports. In a proactive effort to counteract this trend of violence, AYSO has a program called Kids Zone.

As part of AYSO’s education agenda, Kids Zone is a dynamic program targeted to eliminate negative sideline behavior. It is aimed toward producing a thoroughly positive impact on everyone involved in youth soccer. To execute this program, three basic elements are involved:

  1. The Button. This is a pin-on button bearing the program’s logo. This will be worn by program supporters at games, and will serve as a reminder of the importance of positive sideline behavior.
  2. The Sign. A large sign, which lists positive behavior standards, will be posted at the entrance of participating fields. Parents and spectators who will abide by these standards are welcome - all others are not.
  3. The Pledge. We request AYSO parents to sign a pledge that holds them to the Kids Zone standards. Click for a PDF of the pledge.
