FALL 2024 REGISTRATION

Our Fall 2024 Season is now open for registration!

Eligible age groups:

Players are assigned to divisions based on birth date, not grade.
Under 4 (U4) to Under 19 (U19) (birth years 2007-Sept. 17th, 2021)
Don't worry - the registration system will place your player in the correct division. 


Practice and Game Attendance:

One of the core philosophies of AYSO is "balanced teams." We balance teams at the beginning of the season. If there are players on the team that have other commitments on Saturdays during the games and they don't show up very often, this creates a negative experience for the team, and ultimately for the opposing team. Not having a full roster on game day can lead to unbalanced teams and often leads to teams not having enough players to field a full team, or no subs on a hot day.

We know that life happens and you might have to miss a game. BUT, if your player can't consistently make Saturday games (or practice), you should not register them.


Registration fees

Pricing below does not include national AYSO fees - actual price will be reflected at the end of the registration process

Regular Season Registration June 19th 2004 - July 26th 2004
Burlingame Resident: $260
Non-Resident: $345

4U (Jan. 1 to Sept. 18, 2021 birthday): $125 (Burlingame resident), $210 (non-resident)

Financial assistance is available. No player will be excluded from AYSO due to insufficient funds. Please email [email protected] to apply.

Volunteer Participation:

PLEASE VOLUNTEER WHEN YOU REGISTER AND BE GENEROUS WITH YOUR TIME. ALL OF THE CHILDREN WILL BENEFIT FROM YOUR INVOLVEMENT. WITHOUT OUR GENEROUS VOLUNTEERS, THE AYSO PROGRAM CANNOT EXIST. All teams 10U and above REQUIRE REFEREE POINTS to advance to the playoffs. In addition, players who wish to participate in tournaments will be required to have REFEREE parents to help at the tournaments.

Regular Season Dates:

16U-19U: practices start the first week in August and the season ends at the end of October

10U-14U: practices start the week of 8/26. Matches start on 9/7. The regular season ends on 10/19.
10U teams with a qualifying referee will participate in the Burlingame Cup tournament the weekends of 10/26 and 11/2.
12U and 14U teams will will participate in the Burlingame Cup tournament the weekends of 10/26 and 11/2.


4U: Practices and matches are Saturdays Sept. 14th to Oct. 26th

5U-8U:
Practices start the week of 8/26.
The first match day will be 9/7.
The last match day will be 10/26.

Other important season dates:

FREE Pre-Season Soccer Clinics:
Our visiting UK coaches will host free pre-season clinics for 5U-10U 5 pm - 8pm Monday - Friday the week of August 12 and August 19th.

Fun Fridays:
Every Friday during the regular fall season, our UK coaches will host "just for fun" scrimmages after school for U7-U14.

Photo Days:
Photo Days are 9/22 and 9/29. Teams will be assigned to one of those days.

Double Header Weekend for 10U - 14U is 10/5/24 and 10/6/24

Paul De Sienna Burlingame Cup (end of season tournament for 10U-14U)
Weekends of 10/27 (group play) and 11/2 (semi finals and finals).

 

Registration priority

Children of coaches/volunteers/Board members/field liners have priority; first come, first serve otherwise.

Waitlists

  • No payment is due if your player is put on the waitlist
  • You will receive an email when your player is removed from the waitlist at which time you will need to return to your account to pay
  • We will have a waitlist until we have enoug coaches to assign all restered players to a team. Please volunteer! No experience is necessary and we provide training.

Team Assignments, Practices & Games

Team assignments will be released in mid-August. DO NOT CONTACT US BEFORE AUGUST 15TH.
We do our best to release rosters in mid-August, but we can't finalize any team until all teams are finalized and we can't finalize teams until we have enough coaches to assign all players to teams.
If we are approaching the first week of practices without enough coaches, players that registered last will not be assigned to teams. Players with parents volunteering as coaches or board members will always have a spot on a team.

7U - 19U teams practice once a week with one match per week.
4U-6U have one hybrid practice/scrimmage session on Saturdays at Washington Park.

Team assignments are final. A coach cannot change a player's team assignment and cannot add players to any team. (Violation of this rule will result in immediate removal from any involvement in our soccer program.) We reserve the right to adjust teams to maintain team balance.
Team assignments are not based upon religious school schedules, car pool needs or any criteria other than achieving balanced teams.

Practices
Practices are held Monday through Friday for 1-1.5 hours depending on the age group.
Practice times and field locations are based on coach and field availability.

FAQs

Why can't you tell us the schedule before we register?

The reason that we don't have the schedule yet is the following:
  1. For 10U and above, we balance teams.
  2. We need to know who is playing in order to balance the teams.
  3. We can't form teams until registration closes on 7/31.
  4. Therefore we can't balance teams until we have closed registration.
  5. Once the teams are form, volunteer coaches are assigned to the teams.
  6. Once a coach has a team, they choose a practice slot.
  7. Then the coach emails parents with the practice slot.
  8. Game schedules are formed once teams are formed. All games are on Saturdays.

Refunds

Through June 30, 2023, full refunds less the $30 processing fee are available. July 1-July 31, refunds of 50% are available. Starting August 1 refunds will not be available.

What Happens if the Season is Cancelled?

The safety of our players and community are our first priority. If it becomes unsafe to start or continue with the Season, we will cancel. It is our intention to support as robust a refund as possible on any amounts should the season be cancelled. Please note that depending upon the date of cancellation, certain non-refundable costs may have been incurred, including player fees paid to AYSO National, uniforms costs, volunteer background check fees, and other non-refundable expenses.
